Our multi-acre kingdom is a re-creation of a 16th-Century European Country Faire where you can shop, eat and revel with a cast of nearly 1,000 colorfully costumed characters . For the first time since its founding in 1977, Festivals Acadiens will be held the second weekend of October. Traditionally, Festivals Acadiens has been held the third weekend in September. The change in date means festival-goers will likely enjoy beautiful fall days with drier, cooler weather.
Celebrate the rhythm of Cajun life at Festivals Acadiens in Lafayette, the heart of French Louisiana. Dance to a traditional Cajun waltz. Two-step to the upbeat rhythms of accordions, fiddles and ti fers (triangles). Step back in time as traditional crafters demonstrate their artistry. Festivals Acadiens pays tribute to the Cajun culture with a combination of FREE festivals.

The best in Cajun and Zydeco Music of the Area featuring Beausoleil,Lucky Playboys,Bonsoir Catin,Pineleaf Boys,Wayne Toups and ZydeCajun,Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, The Bluerunners, Les Traiteurs featuring Sonny Landreth, Nathan Williams and the Zydeco Cha Cha's, geno Delafose and French Rockin Boogie along with over 2 dozend other bands.
